S. Keith Smith, MD

Dr. Smith graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After completing his residency at Anderson Memorial Hospital in South Carolina where he served as Chief Resident he also came to Morganton to work with Dr. Plyler at Medical Heights Family Practice.

Before locating in Morganton Dr. Smith married Kim Ervin, a Burke County native. They have three children and many pets. He enjoys farming, and fishing, as well as golf. He has a special interest in family medicine, occupational medicine and clinical research.

Dr. Smith is the principal investigator for Clinical Research.
