Deborah H. Waechter, MD

Originally from Boone, Dr. Waechter received her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University and achieved her medical degree at East Carolina University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Greenville Hospital University Medical Center for Family Medicine where she was Chief Resident from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Waechter joins Burke Primary Care from her family practice in Granite Falls, after practicing medicine in Western North Carolina for more than seven years.

Dr. Waechter and her husband, David, live in Lenoir with their three young children. She enjoys music, traveling, reading, relaxing in the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. The family co-owns and operates Whistler Pig Acres Farm in Lenoir.
