Christopher N. Shatley, PA-C Biography

Christopher Shatley, a native of Burke County, is a Physician Assistant–Certified (PA-C) who recently joined Burke Primary Care in Morganton in 2017. He holds a Master’s of Health Science from South College, Knoxville, TN, obtained in 2015. Prior to this, he earned his Master’s of Science in Nutrition from Clemson University in 2013 and his Bachelor’s degree from Concord University in 2011. Shatley graduated from East Burke High School in 2006.

 

He is affiliated with several professional organizations including the American Association of Physician Assistants, the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, and the PA’s in Orthopedic Surgery Association. Shatley's "C" designation signifies his certification by the National Commission of Certification of PAs, necessitating 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years and passing a national recertification exam every 10 years.

 

During his training, Shatley completed rotations in Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Orthopedic Surgery, showcasing a broad spectrum of medical expertise.“Chris Shatley’s extensive training and broad experience, including sports-related medicine, are an exceptional fit within our growing practice.” said Scott Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer of Morganton-based Burke Primary Care. His clinical interests lie in sports medicine and orthopedics.

 

Outside of his medical practice, he finds joy in working out, reading, following Clemson football, fly fishing, and hiking. He values the establishment of enduring relationships with his patients and is dedicated to delivering exceptional care on every occasion.
