Morganton, NC (Feb 24, 2020) – Leveraging more than a decade of nursing experience, Morganton resident Crystal Evans, MSN, NP-C, recently joined Burke Primary Care as a Family Nurse Practitioner (NP-C).
Burke Primary Care’s family nurse practitioners are Advanced Practice Registered Nurses who work in collaboration with the practice’s other healthcare professionals to deliver family-focused care.
Evans earned her Master of Science in Nursing (NP) from East Tennessee State University in 2017; her Bachelor of Science Degree - Nursing from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro in 2010, and her Associate Degree - Nursing from Wake Technical Community College in 2003.
Most recently, Evans was employed by Catawba Valley Medical Group, Hickory NC, and as a provider to Catawba County Public Health Department in Adult Health and Family Planning. Additionally, she was a registered nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, a Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse and as Professional Development Coordinator in the facility’s Birthing Center.
Her clinical experience also includes; Labor and Delivery Nurse at Wake Medical Center and Frye Regional Medical Center, and as the CNA Clinical Coordinator and Health Occupations Educator with the Burke County Public Schools.
Evans is married with two daughters and enjoys family time on the farm, competition horseback riding, kayaking, being outdoors, baking and church engagement. Active in the community, Evans is involved with programs focusing on caring for women, children and adolescence and contraceptive management.
