BURKE PRIMARY CARE RECOGNIZED BY UNITED HEALTHCARE
Receives designation after assessment of practices.
Morganton, NC – Independent family medical practice, Burke Primary Care, recently earned designation from United Healthcare, an operating division of the largest single health insurance carrier in the United States.
Titled the 2015 United Healthcare Premium Physician Designation Program Assessment, the program measured Burke Primary Care’s quality and cost efficiencies. The Morganton-based family medical practice scored 100% in both family medicine and internal medicine measurements.
The United Premium designation program helps support member care and helps members “make informed, appropriate choices for their medical care,” states a letter to Burke Primary Care from United Healthcare in announcing the designation. “We use transparent methodology and data sources grounded in evidence-based, medical society and national industry standards.”
“Quality is the primary measure,” according to the letter.
Scott Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer of Burke Primary Care, said the designation from the nation’s largest health insurance carrier, reflects the practice’s dedication to medical care quality, service and overall patient care.
“It is great to see that the largest insurance carrier in the country recognizes the value of our dedication to high-quality care delivered in a cost efficient manner with a focus on integrated health care management,” he said.
Burke Primary Care is the region’s largest and oldest primary care independent practice. Locally owned, it is a comprehensive family practice dedicated to high-quality, patient-focused healthcare.
